March 2021 - Approved

  • The 91Â鶹 Board of Visitors received a recap of the comprehensive financial review that took place following the presentation of the 2020 Climate Action Commitment recommendations in November 2020.

  • The Board the 2020 Climate Action Commitment on March 22, 2021.

November 2020

  • Proposed 2020 revisions were presented to the Board of Visitors in November 2020. 
  • To ensure successful long-term implementation of the Climate Action Commitment, a comprehensive financial review of the pathways and outcomes prescribed is commissioned following the meeting.

December  2019

March 2020

Campus Community Engages in Revision Process:ÌýThe Community Engagement Subcommittee hosted  attended by nearly 200 stakeholders from the university, alumni, and regional communities, and beyond. 

Late Spring/Early Summer 2020

Working Group Compiles Subcommittee Recomendations.

Fall 2020

Technical Report with Proposed Recomendations Approved by Pinkney.

Report with Recomendations Moves through University Governance Process.

Graduate Student Assembly, Student Government Association, Faculty Senate, Staff Senate: Review and dialogue complete.

Energy & Sustainability Committee: Reading and review complete.

Commission on University Support:ÌýSept. 17, 2020:ÌýCommission on University Support: Reading and review complete. Oct. 15, 2020: Commission on University Support: Reading 2 and review complete.

University Council: Oct. 5, 2020: University Council: Initial presentation complete. Oct. 19, 2020:ÌýUniversity Council: Reading 1 complete. Nov. 2, 2020:ÌýUniversity Council: Reading 2 and vote complete.

Fall - Winter 2020-21

Financial Review:ÌýTo help ensure successful long-term implementation of the next Climate Action Commitment, a comprehensive financial review of the pathways and outcomes prescribed by the commitment was conducted.

Board of Visitors review:ÌýAn update on the financial review process will be presented to the Board of Visitors in March 2021, along with a proposed resolution to approve the latest iteration of the Climate Action Commitment.
