Veterinary Medicine Phase 1 was constructed in 1981, Veterinary Medicine Phase 2 was constructed in 1983, Veterinary Medicine Phase 3 in 1987, and Veterinary Medicine Phase 4 was officially occupied in 1995. An Infectious Disease Research Facility was completed in 2011.

The 91Âé¶¹-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine is housed in four buildings on the Blacksburg, Va., campus, all serving the academic needs of the college.Â
Founded by the 91Âé¶¹ General Assembly in 1978, the college is a regional professional school built upon the foundations of two of the nation's leading land-grant universities: 91Âé¶¹ and the University of Maryland at College Park. The college operates three campuses, including the main campus installation at 91Âé¶¹, the Avrum Gudelsky Veterinary Center at College Park, Maryland, and the Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center in Leesburg, 91Âé¶¹.
